Tales of Scumwater
Scumwater, (Corville) , Oregon
There isn’t much to Corville. Before Tank Tek set up in Salem in 2001, the town had a population of 72, and of that 72, 48 of them were over 50. There was a dilapidated shopping center that held the town hall, a gas station/grocery, a feed store and vet office, antique store and a bar – everything else was a 20 minute drive to Salem.
Corville is mostly referred to as Scumwater because of the large pond that has a cover of toxic algae.
Now it sits at around 400-500 and almost everyone of them was put there because that’s where Tank Tek offered housing. They built an apartment complex where employees could live rent free, they built houses, a large park, and a brand new school.
